Description:
THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF LOST PRODUCTIVITY AND LOST OPPORTUNITY AT MOST ORGANIZATIONS IS LACK OF EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT. STUDIES SHOW THAT EMPLOYEE DISENGAGEMENT REMAINS STAGNANT AT ABOUT 70 PERCENT. THAT IS TO SAY, ONLY 30 PERCENT OF EMPLOYEES ARE ENGAGED IN THEIR JOBS, AND ABOUT 16 PERCENT ARE ACTIVELY DISENGAGEMENT. MOTIVATION IS FUNDAMENTAL TO EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AND PERFORMANCE. IT IS WHAT DRIVES US TO SET AND ATTAIN GOALS. THE GOAL OF EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT IS TO ENHANCE EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION. WHEN EMPLOYEES ARE MOTIVATED, THEY ENGAGE EACH OTHER THROUGH TEAMS TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ORGANIZATION.
