Description:
All those involved in construction work zone projects should have a basic knowledge of temporary traffic control then allows them to assist in monitoring and recognition of deficiencies during the course of a project. The TCT course provides an introduction to temporary traffic control in a work zone for those who are relatively inexperienced in this area. It teaches concepts, techniques, and practices in the installation, and maintenance of traffic control devices. The students are provided an ATSSA Pocket Guide which is used as the basic text material for the course. This handy Guide booklet contains material condensed from the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices but in a simplified, easy to understand and use format. 1) For Training: Successful completion of the Traffic Control Technician course, with 80% or greater received on written exam. 2) For Certification: Successful completion of Training plus 1 year of work zone experience verified with a Work Experience Letter.
